Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Violent Crime including Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG)

High visibility patrols conducted throughout the ward to prevent violent offences, particularly along the Thames Path as an area highlighted by residents that can sometimes feel unsafe. VAWG Walk, Talk & Do events to be organised and invites shared via Met Engage.

ASB – Focussing on Mopeds/Dirt bikes being ridden dangerously

High visibility and plain clothed patrols to be conducted in order to deter vehicle enabled ASB. Also use of police powers such as S.59 can be utilised for repeat offenders in order to seize and destroy any vehicles in contravention of these powers. As well as this CBO’s can be considered in order to ban individuals from riding.
