The Royal Borough of Greenwich borders the River Thames and has a rich royal and maritime history. The borough's 23 wards have a growing population of over 250,000 residents and is home to shops and street markets, including the Greenwich covered market. It has many tourist attractions, such as the Cutty Sark clipper, the Royal Observatory and Prime Meridian, Eltham Palace and Severndroog Castle, as well as the O2 Arena.
