We’re certain that you’ll find your role as a police community support officer (PCSO) a genuinely worthwhile experience. Not just for the satisfaction you get from making London safer for everybody, but for the generous package of basic pay, plus full range of benefits you’ll receive too. And that’s the case whether you work full-time, part-time or as part of a job share.
The starting salary is £33,348, which includes allowances totalling £2,841.
The salary is broken down as £30,507 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale - £32,639. Plus a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.
Our PCSOs work shifts. This will attract a shift disturbance allowance of between 12.5% and 20%. If you need to work overtime, you are paid for this.
The paid annual leave entitlement for full time staff is 28 days, rising to 33 days after five years’ service.
