Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.
Violent Crime - Wealdstone South Safer Neighbourhoods Officers are dedicated to decreasing violent crime taking place on the ward as well as working in partnership with schools officers and the local community to tackle violence against Women and Girls.

Officers from Wealdstone Safer Neighbourhood team have carried out daily patrols around schools on the ward. The team has also arranged and carried out VAWG patrols around Wealdstone BR station into the evening and on into night. Several operations carried out by officers with one male arrested by the team for exposure. This male was identified by the team, following some excellent information received from several members of the community to achieve this. Wealdstone officers have also conducted several street briefings to advise Women and Girls regarding personal safety. Locations where lone females may feel vulnerable have been patrolled, for example Byron Park, Bus Stop locations across the ward along with Harrow and Wealdstone BR Station. Recent policing operations to target offenders has let to arrests for possession of offensive weapons and driving offences.

Wealdstone South Safer Neighbourhood Officers are working hard to focus on those who are dealing and using controlled substances to eliminate their negative impact on the community.

Community Behaviour Orders have been issued to nominals known to police for drug and ASB offences. This has lead to a reduction in recorded offences around drug hotspots. Recent Police activity has led to individuals being arrested for possession of an offensive weapon along with early morning warrants being conducted on several homes.

Wealdstone South Safer Neighbourhoods Officers are working in partnership with Harrow Council and other relevant authorities to deter anti-social behaviour, including street drinking.

Wealdstone SNT officers have recently conducted joint operations with Harrow Council enforcement teams to issue "on the spot" fines for breaches of the PSPO regulations on the borough of Harrow. This includes issuing fines for street drinking, parking on the pavement and spitting.
Heightened patrols across open spaces and high street tackling ASB. Schools officers present to enforce good behaviour around local fast food venues. The identification of a trouble address on the ward has resulted in a closure which has had a positive impact on the local residents and community.
The team have issued a number of street-drinkers with Community Protection Notice Warnings to further deter Anti-Social behaviour. The team continue to work with small groups after school coming in to the town to cause problems in and around local shops.
