Burglary and Attempted Burglary, priority for Harrow Weald.

Harrow Weald NPT's priority remains engagement via regular crime prevention events and street briefings. This includes ensuring that any streets affected are visited, and the team are available to local residents to advise on crime prevention tactics and other methods to keep property safe. Any emerging hotspots are pro-actively patrolled patrolled by the team engaging in plain clothed and uniform patrols.

Shoplifting and theft offences.

The team have identified several hot spots for shoplifting and theft offences across the ward and a range of tactics are used to combat offences. Shoplifting and theft offences are linked to drugs and the team ensure that a range of crime prevention events are held across the areas affected particularly where there is a high footfall of people. The team are dealing with shoplifting offences robustly, where those repeatedly coming to notice can also be dealt with by being issued with Community protection notices and or Criminal Behaviour Orders.
