Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Two-Wheeled Enabled Crime

Officers will continue to tackle crime facilitated by illegal motorcycles, mopeds, and e-bikes through proactive patrols and intelligence-led enforcement. Stop and search powers will be used where lawful and appropriate, with illegal vehicles being seized and destroyed where legislation permits. The strongest available sanctions will be pursued against offenders involved in criminality using unlawful modes of transport to protect the community and reduce offending.

Environmental Crime and Designing Out Crime

The Safer Neighbourhood Team will work closely with the local authority, housing providers, and partner agencies to address environmental issues that contribute to crime and anti-social behaviour, including the dumping and burning of motorbikes. Regular high-visibility patrols, neighbourhood enquiries, and community engagement will be undertaken to identify concerns, secure vulnerable locations, and improve the safety of public spaces.

Shoplifting and Retail Crime

Officers will continue to work proactively with local retailers and partners to tackle shoplifting and retail crime. Targeted operations will be conducted to deter offending, increase staff confidence in reporting incidents, and improve evidence gathering. Robust enforcement action will be taken against identified offenders to disrupt repeat criminality and reduce the impact of crime generators within the ward.
