Priority 1 - Violence Related Priority
Use a problem orientated policing approach to reducing violence in the area adjacent to North Acton Underground station
Issued 26 April 2026
Officers have committed a significant amount of time to proactive patrols in key areas, including the vicinity of North Acton Station and the North Acton Island. These patrols have been conducted at varied times throughout the day and into the evening, with the aim of addressing both violent crime and anti-social behaviour.
This sustained presence is yielding positive outcomes, with only two violence-related offences reported in the past 12 weeks. In addition, officers are actively engaging with university housing teams to deliver tailored crime prevention packages for students, helping them stay safe as they settle into university life.
Following the most recent Ward Panel Meeting, this priority will continue to be a focus and will be reviewed again at the next scheduled meeting.

Priority 2 - Speeding
Targeted speed enforcement activity on North Acton Road
Issued 26 April 2026
Over the past three months, officers have conducted multiple speed enforcement operations across North Acton. A key focus was delivered as part of Operation Alliance, which took place in November and covered both the Acton and Chiswick wards. During this operation, over 40 Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) were issued for a range of offences, including speeding, and 32 vehicles were seized for a variety of offences.
In addition to planned operations, officers continue to carry out ad-hoc speed enforcement sessions at various hotspot locations across the ward. To support these deployments, the number of officers trained in speed enforcement has also been increased, enhancing the team’s capacity to respond effectively to community concerns.
Following the most recent Ward Panel Meeting, this priority will continue to be a focus and will be reviewed again at the next scheduled meeting.

Priority 3 - Theft from motor vehicle
Use a problem orientated policing approach to reducing theft from motor vehicle offences on the North Acton ward.
Issued 26 April 2026
Officers continue to deploy a range of resources and tactics to reduce theft from motor vehicles across the ward. Key hotspot locations have been identified, and partnership working with specialist units and local stakeholders has been instrumental in both disrupting criminal activity and apprehending offenders.
This work culminated in Operation Alliance, a targeted initiative led jointly by the local Neighbourhood Policing Team and operational partners. The operation remains ongoing, but to date has resulted in nine arrests for various offences and the collection of significant intelligence to support the disruption of organised criminal networks.
In addition, officers are actively targeting known hotspots as part of the Autumn Nights initiative, with extended patrols taking place later into the evening to deter offending and reassure the community.
Following the most recent Ward Panel Meeting, this priority will continue to be a focus and will be reviewed again at the next scheduled meeting.
