Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

P.1 - VAWG Focus - PMP/32043/24
Focusing on VAWG to provide reassurance by carrying out high visibility presence in the areas whereby incidents have occurred in the ward and providing members whom we come across with advice on safety to promote confidence/trust within the group. Walk and talk groups to be arranged to ascertain arising issues which need to be concentrated on.
Action taken:
Patrols in the area with our partners in the council and a planned walkabout with an MP.

Tackling ASB including the illegal use of e-scooters
Action taken:
High visibility patrols in marked vehicles and links with local community members in order to advise on safe riding

Preventing and detecting burglary.
Action taken:
High visibility patrols, conducting street briefings around the ward, giving crime prevention advice across the spectrum.
