There are two entry routes to join us as a new police constable in the Met.
Simply choose the route that best suits how you prefer to learn, your experiences or qualifications. Whichever you choose, you’ll be employed as a police officer from day one, mixing learning in a classroom with learning alongside experienced officers policing London’s streets.
Your training will set you up with the skills and experience you need to succeed as a police constable, all while earning a competitive salary.
If you don’t have the academic qualifications, work or military experience needed to join us through our entry routes we partner with London colleges who deliver an access route into policing.
