Summary
The brief circumstances of this case are that, between 20 to 23 July 2025 PC Jasmine Kaur misused police systems by accessing records relating to an acquaintance (Person A) and his co-defendants following their arrest for an affray, without any legitimate policing purpose. Furthermore, she retained this information and improperly disclosed it to the Person A and his co-defendants. In addition, PC Kaur failed to disclose her association with Person A in accordance with the Declarable Associations Policy. PC Kaur has breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of:
- Confidentiality
- Discreditable Conduct
- Duties and Responsibilities
PC Kaur was not in attendance for these proceedings. She was represented at the hearing by her Federation Representative.
Decision
The Chair, Commander Beehag-Fisher, found the allegations proven and that PC Kaur had breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour at the level of Gross Misconduct.
PC Kaur was dismissed without notice and will be placed on the College of Policing Barred List.
