    To reduce violence related offences linked to drug use on Rayners Road, Cabalt Road, Carlton Drive and Strathan Close areas.

    Drug activity is a known driver of violence related offences including but not exclusive to gang activity, organised crime and criminal expoitation of young people through the avenue of County Lines.

    Action taken:

    Officers will conduct High Visibility patrols to the locations identified to deter those committing Anti-Social Behaviour and using drugs. Use of stop and Search and arrest powers when appropriate. Utilising Anti-Social Behaviour legislation to issue ASN warnings, Community Protection warnings and Community Protection Notices when appropriate. Monitoring of this will be by way of arrests, stop and search and reduction of crime and reports made to police

  • Priority:

    Burglary remains a long term ward priority for East Putney. Whilst there is no specific area of concern within this reporting period, a number of burglaries have occurred.

    Action taken:

    Dedicated Ward Officers (DWO) will continue to conduct hi visibility cycle and foot patrols in the area. With a high level of residential premises on the ward, a number of streets were identified via predicative crime mapping as being more vulnerable to burglary. Officers have utilised a tactic called Smartwater (Ultra Violet) marking at a number of homes which may be extended in future.
    The team have regular drop in / street sessions whereby officers are able to offer crime prevention advice.

    Regular operational updates are being provided via the use of Met Engage.

  • Priority:

    To reduce Theft from Motor Vehicle offences within the ward by using detection and prevention methods.
    Vehicle crimes on East Putney ward are predominantly in the south of the ward whereby high end performance vehicles have been identified as the most vulnerable to theft.

    Action taken:

    Crime prevention advice posted on Social Media, Use of predictive mapping, both Hi-Vis and plain clothes patrols in high crime areas. Preventative engagement with owners of vehicles at highest risk.

    Officers will carry out directed patrols such as Operation Sensor in order to reduce MV crime within the ward. Patrolling officers will identify insecure vehicles, and valuables left on show, and given advice around motor vehicle security. Community engagement strategies include delivering crime prevention advice, reassurance visits to repeat victims of crime and leaflet drops.
