Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Anti-social behaviour and vehicle use and alleged criminality from local businesses in Clarendon Road area.
Action taken:
Increased patrols in the area including change of shifts to enable NPT officers to be on duty at peak times for the problems with assistance from local tasking team. Enlisting help from the Council around permission and licencing of the businesses, and working in partnership with trading standards to ensure business legitimacy.

Drug Dealing on Falmer Road and believed motorbikes being used for drug delivery.
Action taken:
Investigating vehicles which have been brought to police notice, and increasing patrols in the area. Tackle motorbike issue with assistance from traffic units who can perform safe stops and interventions on motorbikes involved in criminality.

Persistent issues of groups of youths gathering around The Drive in the afternoons and Evenings engaging in anti-social behaviour and fly-tipping/littering.
Action taken:
Engage with college staff and students around expectations around disposal of rubbish, and congregating in large groups. Work with council to combat excessive litter.
