Concerns raised about Anti-Social Behaviour on the Ward

    Issued 22 June 2026

    Action taken:

The Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) has identified anti-social behaviour hotspots within the ward, including residential blocks where groups of youths have been gathering to smoke cannabis and areas along the Thames Path where groups of males have been drinking and causing nuisance to residents and visitors.
To address these concerns, officers will be carrying out increased high-visibility patrols at identified hotspot locations and problem addresses. Patrols will be focused on disrupting anti-social behaviour, gathering intelligence, and providing reassurance to the local community.
The SNT will also work closely with the Council, housing providers, and partner agencies to identify long-term solutions and environmental improvements that help prevent anti-social behaviour and make these locations less attractive for offenders.
Residents are encouraged to continue reporting incidents so that patrols and enforcement activity can be directed to the areas of greatest concern.

  • Priority:

Concerns raised regarding Drugs on the Ward.

    Issued 22 June 2026

    Action taken:

The Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) continues to target drug-related activity within the ward following reports of drug use, drug dealing, and associated anti-social behaviour affecting local residents.
Officers are carrying out targeted patrols in identified hotspot locations, with a focus on disrupting drug activity, gathering intelligence, and taking positive enforcement action against those involved in the supply and use of illegal drugs.
The SNT is working closely with partner agencies, housing providers, and the Council to identify problem locations and implement measures to reduce opportunities for drug-related crime and associated anti-social behaviour.
We encourage the community to continue reporting concerns and sharing information with police. Intelligence provided by residents plays a vital role in helping us identify offenders, target resources effectively, and keep our neighbourhoods safe.

  • Priority:

Concerns raised about Anti-Social Behaviour on Bermondsey Wall East

    Issued 22 June 2026

    Action taken:

The Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) is aware of ongoing concerns regarding anti-social behaviour along the Thames Path, particularly in the area between Fountain Green Square and Bermondsey Wall East. Reports indicate groups gathering late into the night and early hours of the morning, engaging in cannabis use, playing loud music, and causing nuisance to local residents.
Following concerns raised by residents and the Ward Panel, including a recent flare-related incident, officers will be increasing high-visibility patrols in the area, particularly during key times when incidents are most frequently reported.
The SNT will continue to work with local partners, including the Council and housing providers, to identify longer-term solutions and appropriate interventions to address the issues and improve the quality of life for residents.
Residents are encouraged to continue reporting incidents and sharing information with police, as community intelligence helps us target resources effectively and take action against those responsible for anti-social behaviour.

    Actioned 09 October 2026
