Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Drug dealing and associated issues
Action taken:
Identify intelligence related to reports of drug dealing in Kew.
Targeted patrols in identified locations at times, utilising stop and search powers where appropriate.
Identify problematic addresses and where appropriate use ASB powers to make interventions or obtain search warrants. -

Crime associated with ATM/Parking Meters
Action taken:
Utilise intelligence and analysis of crime reporting to conduct targeted patrols at appropriate times and locations.
Identify opportunities to assist secondary investigation teams to identify offenders and support prosecutions.
Provide crime prevention advice working with partner agencies. -

Theft from local businesses
Action taken:
Officers will be identifying hotspots, providing crime prevention, victims of theft (shop staff/managers) will be contacted by officers and officers will work alongside specialist partners to identify and secure evidence.
Providing crime prevention advice through quarterly Police Liaison Group meetings, communication with Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinators, WhatsApp and Met Engage and at community engagement events.
Victims of theft and neighbouring businesses to be contacted by DWO or PCSO and provided with crime prevention advice.
