Dedicated Ward Officer
Dedicated Ward Officer
I am PC Sharat Kapoor from the Churchfields Safer Neighbourhood Team.
I joined policing in 2010 to make a positive difference to people's lives and help create safer, stronger communities.
I began my career in neighbourhood policing before moving to a response team role, followed by eight years in the Metropolitan Police Control Room.
More recently, I spent a year within the Missing Persons Unit before returning to neighbourhood policing, where my passion for community engagement first began.
I have a strong connection to the area, having grown up locally and attended school within the ward that I now have the privilege of policing. My role involves working closely with residents, local businesses and partner agencies to address local concerns, prevent crime and improve community safety.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places, learning about the history, culture and character of different communities. I am passionate about neighbourhood policing and believe that building trust and strong relationships with residents is key to making our communities safer.
