At this time of year there is usually an increase in robberies in Churchfields ward, particularly around school times.

Reassurance visits to victims and the provision of crime prevention advice, including personal safety alarms for vulnerable individuals. Ongoing engagement with Woodbridge High School and Churchfields Junior School, including annual safety presentations. Regular Street Briefings, weapon sweeps in identified hotspot areas, and social media engagement to raise awareness, gather intelligence, and reassure the community.

Motor Vehicle Crime
Recent crime figures have shown that Churchfields Ward has suffered from increased Motor Vehicle Crime, fly tipping and graffiti located on the South-West side of the Ward and more specifically Grove Road area

High-visibility patrols, regular Street Briefings, and ongoing discussion at Ward Panel meetings. Officers conduct regular PNC checks on vehicles and engage with residents through social media. Proactive activity targets vehicles suspected to be stolen or linked to criminality. Efforts continue to secure the installation of CCTV in the area to help deter and detect motor vehicle crime.

ASB & Drug related crime
There is an increase in the amount of anti social behaviour in and around the Orchard Estate and Derby Road, police have been informed of drug related crime taking place in the area.

A new Police Hub has increased police visibility in the area and supports partnership working with Redbridge Council. Officers continue proactive patrols, targeted stop and search activity, regular Street Briefings, social media engagement, and CCTV monitoring to address anti-social behaviour and reassure the community.
