Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Mobile Phone Theft/Pickpocket Offences - Theft of personal items, mainly around major retail and transport areas.
Action taken:
Overt patrols, utilising surge activities and covert operations to target offenders and seek a decrease in offences.

Shoplifting - Thefts from major retailers and smaller indpendent traders.
Action taken:
SNT officers to carry out patrols, in collaboration with local traders/businesses, to tackle prolific offenders.

Drug Related Activity - Targetting drug users in hot spot areas, including parks, communal areas and other public spaces.
Action taken:
Increased patrols of these area by SNT officers, conducing searches and making arrests where necessary.
