Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Reduce street drinking on Streatham Vale
We are taking a problem solving approach for long-term intervention using referrals to support services and seizing alcohol under the Public Spaces Protection Order. Issuing Community Protection Warnings to repeat offenders.Action taken:
The ward officers will be patrolling the affected areas and will be enforcing the Local Authority PSPO. Repeat offenders will be issued with a Community Protection Warning.

Speeding of cars, E scooters and cycling on the pavement in Streatham Vale.
Action taken:
To issue Traffic Offence Reports for people cycling on the pavement and seize/report people for using E scooters.
To engage with Community speed watch. -

Violence against Women and Girls.
Action taken:
To be a visible presence in areas on the ward where women feel unsafe. To encourage regular Walk and Talk sessions.
