Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Reduce Vehicle Crime
Lower vehicle damage and interference in the ward.
Action taken:
Deploy targeted patrols in areas with high vehicle crime reports.
Launch a community campaign on vehicle security (e.g., locking cars, removing valuables).
Arrest and charge the suspects who's involved in the vehicle crime. -

Parcel Theft
The community has raised the issue of parcels being stolen from outside of homes
Action taken:
Hotspot patrols – uniform and plain clothes in key streets/times.
Crime prevention – leaflets, door knocks, social media, and target-hardening advice.
Partnerships – work with partners to target harden key locations
Offender focus – gather intelligence, target repeat/prolific suspects.
Community engagement – drop-ins, updates, encourage reporting.
Review & adapt – monitor crime trends and adjust patrols accordingly.
