Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG)

VAWG related events at High Street Kensington to offer women and girls crime prevention advice e.g. on drink spiking, domestic abuse and staying safe
Abingdon Officers will carry our regular late evening patrols with focus around enhanced High visibility presence in and around transport hubs where females often feel vulnerable, particularly late in the evening, including Kensington High Street Tube and buses travelling along Kensington High Street

Robbery:
To reduce and prevent robberies around our hotspots such as KENSINGTON HIGH STREET and its surrounding side streets.
This can be achieved by targeted patrols and also using social media to send out crime prevention advice, and by holding crime prevention stands at HIGH STREET KENSINGTON underground station.

Motor Vehicle Crime:
To reduce and deter theft of and theft from motor vehicles across the ward.
This can be achieved by targeting patrols around the ward's hot-spots, such as the TESCO car park on CROMWELL ROAD and EDWARDES SQUARE. Also by using social media and ward community stands to speak with residents and hand out crime prevention leaflets.
