Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Ward Priority 3 – Drug use/dealing causing ASB in the area
Drug use/dealing causing ASB in the area. Targeting Hotspot areas on HIGHBURY ESTATE/SPRING GARDENS, ATHENAEUM COURT, MAYVILLE ESTATE and BESANT COURT/HATHERSAGE COURT.

Ward officers have continued to conduct weapon sweeps, high vis patrols in the identified areas to provide a reassuring presence in those areas to residents and members of the public. Speaking to those members of public to identify the locations or addresses that are being used to cause ASB, drug dealing or drug use. With the assistance of partnerships and the council, engage and deal with those residents that have been identified causing the issues swiftly by issuing CPW’s, Council tenancy actions or closure orders while seizing significant amounts of drugs/weapons in the process and arresting those responsible to deal with accordingly.

Theft person and Robbery - Targeting Hotspot areas such as NEWINGTON GREEN ROAD, PETHERTON ROAD, CANONBURY STATION and HIGHBURY NEW PARK.

Ward officers have continued to conduct high vis patrols in the identified areas to provide a reassuring presence in those areas to residents and members of the public. Bike and phone marking events have been organised with council and local partnerships to raise awareness regarding peoples personal safety and observational awareness while walking on the streets while supporting specialist teams on their patrols in hotspot areas, help identify those persistent offenders and deal with them swiftly and effectively.

VAWG/Violence against a person in the form of common assault, ABH and GBH - Target areas are around BURDER CLOSE, KING HENRY'S WALK, GROSVENOR AVENUE and MAYVILLE ESTATE.
