Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Ongoing drug related issues related to the street population.
Action taken:
Regular hi visibility patrols in known drug use areas, including patrols with local council ASB officers and utilising stop and search powers where appropriate.

Shoplifting in the Archway area
Action taken:
Regular engagement with local businesses via patrols and through the safer business network. During the Safer Neighbourhood Week of Action between 23rd-29th June we deployed plain clothes officers in local businesses in addition to hi visibility patrols around the Archway area, leading to several arrests.

Robbery including use of offensive weapons as well as theft snatches conducted using pedal cycles/mopeds/e-scooters
Action taken:
Regular hi visibility patrols around the area. Plain clothes patrols targeting offenders and areas with high footfall. Utilising pedal cycle patrols as well as raising awareness of keeping items safe from snatchers.
