Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Violence related priority - Tackling violent offences with focus on females safety in open spaces at Brabazon Road.
Action taken:
Targeted patrols at Brabazon, Norman Crescent and Brabazon – BP Moons path including walk and talk surgeries in the area. Hidden area behind BP was cleared and filled again with rubbish and stuff used to make sleeping corner.
Meetings with councilor and Safer Communities Co-ordinator proven to be successful as local authorities have announced a tender for the construction of a fence along the alleyway behind BP Moons -

To prevent ASB on Convent Way estate and surrounded areas.
Action taken:
• conduct foot patrols in the area
• identify and prosecute offenders
• work in partnership with internal and external agencies/ departments -
Priority:
ASB at Tesco Bulls Bridge - Reduce number of homeless people at the location and prevent car meet.
Action taken:
• Reduce vagrancy/begging by providing support utilizing local authorities and charities
• Conduct targeted patrols
• Attended quarterly meeting with Tesco management
• Work in cooperation with internal and external partners
• Identify and assist vulnerable people
