Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.
ASB in subways on Windsor Road. People drink alcohol and use drugs.
Issued 23 October 2024
Hi visibility and plain clothes patrols. Joined operation with internal and external partners to reduce it. We have done a street briefing at First Drive where we spoke about VAWG and gave out hand out in regards to how to stay safe, especially with the nights getting darker. 8 residents turned out for this. They did say that in their area they do feel safe but there could be more lighting in the sub ways. Council have been made aware.
We have also gone into IBIS, Double Tree and Moxy and dropped off some VAWG leaflets to leave in their waiting area. When giving these hotels the leaflets I spoke to them about any VAWG offences that have taken place in their hotel and they said they only get a small percentage of them.

Double Tree hotel is the most targeted hotel for theft from motor vehicle out of the three hotels on Cranford
Issued 23 October 2024
Regular and joint patrols with local neighbourhood groups to be more visible.
Condiucting plain close operation at the venue. We have emailed the manager of the DoubleTree hotel with quotes for security huts which is hoped will act as a deterrent for future TFMV. We had discussed the issue regarding TFMV from their car park with an Aviation Security officer and that was one of the suggestions.
We have also increased patrols in the area and to other vulnerable car park areas.
