Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Anti Social Behaviour in Avenue Park
- Targeted patrols tackling excessive drinking causing Anti-Social behaviour and nuisance to park users.
- Drug use and related activity within Avenue Park impacting community safety and well-being.
- Vehicle driving offences in car park located by the park.
- Targeted high-visibility patrols to deter general anti-social behaviour offending and provide reassurance to the local communityAction taken:
• Provide high visibility and plain clothed patrols.
• Joined operation with internal and external partners to reduce it.

Violence against women and girls
- High-visibility patrols targeting violence against women and girls, including harassment, stalking and intimidation within the ward
- Improving the safety of women and girls in public spaces through high-visibility patrols and targeted engagement
- Identifying and addressing locations where women and girls report feeling unsafe
- Working with partners and community to prevent VAWG offences and increase reporting.Action taken:
• Regular and joint patrols with local neighborhood groups to be more visible.
• Conducting plain clothed operation in the area.
