Targeting violence against woman's and girls.

Targeted Patrols and Visible Presence: Ongoing high-visibility patrols will be conducted around the Bath Road and Harlington, with particular attention paid to identified locations and premises of concern. This activity will utilise Hotspot Policing principles, ensuring officers are deployed to areas where reports of harassment, violence against women and girls, and sexual offences are prevalent. Particular focus will be given to areas surrounding transport networks, public spaces, and other locations where vulnerability has been identified, enabling early intervention and reassurance for the public.

Problem Solving and Partnership Working: The Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) will work closely with local businesses, transport providers, educational establishments, local authorities, and safeguarding partners to identify risks and address issues contributing to women and girls feeling unsafe within the ward.

Education and Awareness: NPT officers will actively engage with local schools, colleges, and educational establishments to raise awareness of personal safety, reporting mechanisms, and support available to victims. In addition, officers will continue to build relationships with hotels and businesses across the ward, supporting and promoting initiatives such as 'Ask for Angela', ensuring staff are equipped to recognise and respond to individuals who may be vulnerable or at risk.

Community Engagement: Officers will encourage reporting through community meetings, ward panels, engagement events, and social media platforms, helping to build trust and confidence while gathering intelligence to identify emerging concerns and offenders.

Criminal Damage and Fly tipping.

Prevention Strategies and Planned Actions.

Fly Tipping and Criminal damage has been identified as a ward Priority, and this will require a multi-agency approach. Working with local authorities including but not limited to London Borough of Hillingdon, Environment Agency, landowners, and community groups. These partnerships improve intelligence sharing and coordinated enforcement.
Enforcement - Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs): Issue on-the-spot fines for minor fly-tipping, Prosecution for Serious Offences: For large-scale or hazardous waste dumping, pursue Magistrates’ or Crown Court action

Deterrence - Hotspot Policing: Deploy targeted patrols in areas with high rates of criminal damage/Fly Tipping. Evidence shows hotspot policing combined with problem-solving reduces crime significantly.

Raise awareness – NPT to Run campaigns to educate the public about the legal consequences and the environmental impact of fly-tipping. Build trust through engagement programs—Met Engage, clean-up initiatives, and reporting channels like Crimestoppers. NPT to Share intelligence across agencies to track repeat offenders and organized waste crime groups

Tackling Theft from Motor Vehicles offences and Going Equipped to Steal.

Reduce incidents of theft from motor vehicles and proactively target individuals found going equipped to steal, through high-visibility patrols, intelligence-led policing, crime prevention initiatives, and partnership working to improve community safety and confidence.

Aim to reduce offending through:
• High-Visibility Patrols: Conduct targeted foot and vehicle patrols in identified hotspot locations, particularly during peak offending times.
• Intelligence-Led Activity: Use crime data, local intelligence, CCTV opportunities, and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) to identify and disrupt prolific offenders.
• Proactive Stop and Search: Utilise lawful powers where grounds exist to target individuals suspected of going equipped to commit theft offences.
• Crime Prevention Engagement: Deliver vehicle security advice to residents, encouraging the removal of valuables, use of steering locks, and securing vehicles at all times.
• Partnership Working: Work closely with council enforcement teams, housing providers, local businesses, and private security partners to identify vulnerabilities and improve environmental security.
• Community Intelligence Gathering: Encourage residents to report suspicious activity promptly and share information through local engagement events, online platforms, and ward panel meetings.
• Offender Management: Target known and repeat offenders through enforcement activity, bail compliance checks, warrant executions, and partnership offender management processes.
