Anti Social Behaviour, Drug Use and Drug Dealing in vicinity of Cordell House, Warren Court and High Cross.

Consult with local authority and seek a closure order for Cordell House.
Patrols and enforcement for Cordell House, Warren Court and High Cross with the use of Anti-Social Behaviour warnings, community protection warnings & notices.
Further use of policing powers and use of stop search where appropriate to also disrupt any unlawful activity.
Look at and develop any intelligence opportunities to apply for search warrants to disrupt any supply chain to the area that may be targeting vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with the local authority to design out crime and also other partner agencies such as local drug and alcohol support services.

The team are in the process of applying for a closure order for Cordell House which we are looking to complete by the end of this month. Offiicers also continue to patrol the areas which have resulted in enforcement and offenders being stopped and searched and where appropriate warning notices have been issued to help manage the anti social behaviour in this area.
Update 5/7/26
A partial closure order is now in place at cordell house. This covers stairwells and communal areas and has restroictons on people who do not reside at the location enter to cause anti social behaviour. This is mainly drug use. If you witness anyone who is comittong anti social behaviour and you think may be in breach of the closure order then please call the police as this an arrestable offence.

Top Ten Offenders identified and to be the focus for the team.
The long term plan is to obtain Criminal Behaviour Orders for top ten offenders so we can manage.
Engage with support services for drug and alcohol addiction issues.
Use of Anti Social Behaviour Warnings, Community Protection Warnings, Community Protection Notices to manage Anti Social Behaviour.
Link in with Stores and store security to review practices and also work in identifying offenders.

Officers continue to work closely with Tesco to identify offenders and also focus on our top ten offenders. We are in the process of seeking charges against one of our prolific offences for a seies of offences and will update you once this complete.
Update 5/7/26
Patrols continue with a focus on our prolific offenders.
The number of offences are lower than what they were last year but we are still seeing a larger volume of offences being comitted at certain venues.
Police continue to work with stores to reduce offences and also target our prolific offence through proactive joint patrols and the sharing of information.

Crime Prevention drops on how to secure your belongings with a key focus on prevention.
Proactive patrols in both uniform and plain clothes with a focus on hotspots and crime generators.
Consider use of special constables to support when the team are not on duty.

Officers from the team have been carrying out extensive patrols in the area and also devilvered crime prevention advice to residents on how to keep their vluables out of sight and safe. We will continue with this going forward and look also to try and identify offenders.
Update 5/7/26
The team will be planning a speed disruption opertation in the coming weeks with the use of a speed gun and traffic operation. If you are interested in assisting and participating in a local speed watch then plesae get in contact as we are also looking to set this up.
