Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Residential Burglary

Objective:
From March to June, reduce residential burglary opportunities and improve prevention across burglary prone locations in Fulham Reach Ward.
SMART Detail:
• Specific: Focus on repeat locations, vulnerable households, and peak offending times.
• Measurable:
o Deliver burglary prevention visits to 90% of victims within 72 hours of any reported burglary.
o Conduct minimum 12 high visibility burglary patrols in hotspot areas during peak hours.
o Reduce repeat burglaries at identified addresses to zero during the period.
• Achievable: Delivered through NPT patrols, leaflets, ward panel engagement, and partner communications.
• Relevant: Residential burglary has high community impact and is a ward priority concern.
• Time-bound: Completed and reviewed by end of June.
• Outcome: Increased reassurance, reduced repeat victimisation, and improved resident confidence.

Cuckooing

Between March and June, reduce the risk and impact of cuckooing at identified vulnerable addresses within Fulham Reach Ward.
SMART Detail:
• Specific: Identify and safeguard vulnerable residents being exploited through cuckooing linked to drug supply.
• Measurable:
o Complete proactive visits to 100% of identified vulnerable addresses (minimum of 10 properties, or all known at start of March).
o Generate at least 5 intelligence submissions related to cuckooing locations, vehicles or offenders.
o Conduct 1 multi-agency safeguarding meeting per month (Police, Council, Housing, Outreach).
• Achievable: Utilises existing ward intelligence, partnership working, and routine patrol capacity.
• Relevant: Cuckooing is linked to county lines, exploitation, ASB, and violence, directly impacting community safety.
• Time-bound: Actions completed by 30 June.
• Outcome: Increased safeguarding referrals, improved intelligence picture, and disruption of cuckooing activity.

Shoplifting

Objective:
Between March and June, reduce shoplifting and repeat offending within key retail locations in Fulham Reach Ward.
SMART Detail:
• Specific: Target prolific shoplifters and support local retailers through engagement and enforcement.
• Measurable:
o Carry out monthly engagement visits to 100% of identified repeat-target retail premises.
o Submit at least 10 intelligence reports relating to prolific shoplifters or vehicles.
o Achieve a minimum of 5 positive outcomes (arrests, charges, community resolutions, or ASB/CPW warnings).
o Support at least 2 exclusion notices / banning letters where appropriate.
• Achievable: Builds on daily NPT patrols, retailer relationships, and local intelligence systems.
• Relevant: Addresses business crime, community confidence, and visible anti-social behaviour.
• Time-bound: Objectives achieved by 30 June.
• Outcome: Improved retailer confidence, disrupted repeat offenders, and reduced theft opportunities.
