Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Theft and Robbery
Action taken:
This priority concerns theft/robbery offences:
Officers will conduct high visibility and plain clothed operations, adjusting their shifts to accommodate presence during peak offending times. Operation Petorca has been created in order to tackle specific bus related thefts for our local area.
Patrols will be varied through foot and cycle patrols in order to get to harder to reach locations with ease
Phone marking events to be regularly done on the ward to assist with recovery of property
Joint patrols with Hackney Enforcement Officers
TFL ongoing operations also cover bus enabled theft/robbery and violent offences. This is due to continue into the coming months. -

Cycling Enforcement of E-Bikes and Delivery Riders on Pavements
Action taken:
Residents raised concerns over the use of bikes and e-bikes used in an antisocial capacity:
Enforcement taking place on days of action along the A10 and side streets
Education and Hi Visibility Patrols taking place by local ward team -
Priority:
Burglary
Action taken:
Officers will continue to complete targeted patrols of hotspot areas to act as visible deterrent to burglaries.
Officers will be deployed to speak to residents about enhancing security features to their home addresses and businesses to support reducing the risk of burglaries.
We will work in partnership with internal investigation teams to support the identification of offenders and share information where possible to support local residents.
