The local community has expressed concerns regarding the issue of robbery and phone snatches in the local area. We have seen a rise in this crime type along the A10 junction with the Crossway outside bars and restaurants in the area. The issue tends to occur in the evenings and late at night, with victims being often being distracted immediately prior to the snatch.
This is a long term goal and the safer neighbourhood team will set up a number of operations to target this.

The safer neighbourhood team will continue to conduct regular patrols, engaging with shops and residents to safeguard those in the area.
Also, the local SNT will work closely with the local council enforcement officers, as well as the local Town Centre Team in order to identify prolific offenders.
We will also be running a number of operations in and around the area to target prolific offenders.

Concerns raised by the residents about ASB and drug taking from cars in an around Shacklewell Road.

We will be conducting high visibility and plain clothes patrols around this area during the core times and tackling any anti-social behaviour or crime that is witnessed by officers. We will be making residents aware of how to report incidents and target hardening advice.

Theft from retail premises affects all uses of local stores. The local community have particularly noticed this at CoOp, Stoke Newington Road.

Officers are conducting both plain clothes and uniform operations, as well as working with the management of retail premises to reduce acquisitive crime.
