Inspector Thomas Vie joined the MPS as a PC in 2014. He spent most the following decade working in emergency response policing including postings to the London boroughs of Lewisham and Southwark. He has expereince as a custody officer and a public order commander. He joined the Neighbourhood Policing Team in Hackney in May 2025 and is currently responsbile for the 'Hackney North Cluster'. This is made up of the following wards; Woodberry Down, Brownswood, Stamford Hill West, Springfield, Stoke Newington, Cazenove, Clissold and Shacklwell.

Priority:
Robberies and phone snatch thefts have been on the rise across all North Hackney wards and on buses. We will be working in conjunction with other North Cluster ward officers to tackle this issue.
Action taken:
We will work on reducing the number of robberies and theft from the person offences that are occurring across Clissold, with a focus on the areas around Clissold Park, Albion Road, Matthias Road and Butterfield Green. We will be utilising a mixture of plain clothes and high visibility patrols, with officers on buses, foot, cycle and within vehicles.

We are targeting reports of drug dealing and anti-social behaviour in and around the area of Cowper Road, especially from loitering vehicles.
Action taken:
We will ensure that these areas are included in our daily patrols and anyone committing offences will be dealt with accordingly.

Cycling and e-scooter/bike related offences
E bikes and scooters present an ongoing issue throughout Hackney as well as Clissold ward. We will be running several operations tackling the use of illegal e-bikes and scooters used on roads and pedestrian walkways, seizing and issuing tickets were required.Action taken:
We will be seizing and ticketing those we stop if necessary.
