Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.

Bush Hill Park Ward Priority 2: Village Road/Park Avenue and Firs Lane Burglary patrols. Conduct High Visibility Presence. Attended to speak with victims of burglary via reassurance calls, observe for cameras in the vicinity and encourage home owners to forward possible audio visual evidence (via EVIDENCE invite)to police. Engagement via social media (Online Watch Link & X), give crime prevention advice to victims and letting the public aware of related incidents in the area. Officers from this ward will shortly undergo cycle training, this will give the team more flexibilty to attend and patrol hot spot areas.
Recent night time deployments of the areas have allowed officers to patrol at times when this crime is more likely to be committed.
** Update ** Officers have been conducting patrols in an effort to both prevent and detect crime. Part of the prevention stratergy continues to be advice to residents, particularly the elderly around home security and mitigation ideas.

Bush Hill Park Ward Priority 1: Hyde Park Avenue was identified as an area for ASB and drug taking. PMP Reference - PMP/24947/25

Patrols will take place within this area and the environs that surround it. Focus will be on a garages section near to the road and towards the cemetery. This will be a mixture of hi visibility and also plain clothes patrols. Although the focus will be ASB there will also a drive to help prevent burglary in the area through crime prevention advice.
Patrols continue within this area and have expanded to include Firs Lane.

Bush Hill Park Ward Priority 3: Bush Hill Road and environs - recent increase in theft from motor vehicle and also theft of motor vehicle within this area. These have been opportunistic thefts from unlocked vehicles and also targeting keyless entry vehicles using signal relay devices.
How you can help - always lock your vehicle and remove valuables from view. Consider the use of steering locks, Faraday bags for keys (to jam signals) and private bollards that can be installed onto drive ways to act as a barrier.
