High visibility patrols, crime prevention and partnership working to deter offending in area

Patrols around the area aligned with enforcement action in conjunction with Ealing Council has seen a large reduction in drugs and ASB in The Copley Estate. This has culminated with a warrant executed and 3 persons arrested for various drug offences. This will have a big impact on the local community.

S - Reduce Theft From Motor Vehicle in Scotch Common / Kent Avenue area.
M - SNT to conduct HVP and plain clothes patrols where reasonable in hot spot zones in order to deter culprits, by means of arrests, stop & searches, etc. Increase in MET ENGAGE sign up and Crime prevention advice.
A - SARA problem solving model will be conducted.
R - This priority is relevant and voted in at a Ward Panel meeting.
T - This will be conducted concurrently with other ward matters and reviewed quarterly.

Patrols have continued in the area to help deter any increase in Theft from Motor Vehicle. Crime prevention advice will be given to residents in the area and notices will be posted in prominent area to warn car owners against leaving property on display in their vehicles.
There has been a slight decrease in reported incidents and a drive will continue to bring this number down.

Burglaries remain a Ward priority. High visibility patrols, crime prevention via MET ENGAGE and partnership working to deter offending in area.

Through a mixture of Uniform and Plain clothes patrols there has been a steady decrease of burglaries on Pitshanger Ward with only 1 burglary reported in April. These patrols will continue in line with an increase in Met Engage and crime prevention advice to deter further offending in the area.
