(VAWG) Violence and harassment offences against women and girls in parks and open space localities.

The East Acton team will be maintaining an increased presence in our parks and opens spaces to help prevent and deter any violence related offences towards females at peak demand times. This will include partnership working with the local authority and enhanced problem solving actions to help make the park safer for local service users.

The team will continue to focus on ensuring that parks and open spaces remain safe and welcoming environments for dog owners, walkers, and all members of the public. This activity is being prioritised in response to an increase in reports relating to dangerous dog offences within the area.

The East Acton team will be conducting patrols in areas identified through community information, crime reports, and local intelligence. This approach aims to reduce offending and enhance the safety of all park users.
Officers will also be available to provide assistance, support, and guidance, including advice on responsible dog ownership, relevant legislation, and signposting to appropriate external support agencies where required.
