Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

Action taken:
West Hampstead Team is to tackle the issues raised in the communities in and around the main shopping areas of West Hampstead. Target prolific offenders by applying for Community Behaviour Orders.

Street Population
Challenge and deter the Homeless Population on West End Lane.
Action taken:
Maintain contact with the Street Population Officer to conduct join operations to reduce the ASB and Drug use in West Hampstead. Attempt to Engage with homeless and street population and offer support agencies. Identify and target subjects that are causing ASB, by utilising police powers.

Drug Related Crime
Challenge Drug related crime on Billy Fury Way and surrounding areas.
Action taken:
Carry out proactive patrols in the specified hot spot areas at targeted times of the day and utilise intelligence led stop and searches. Engage with residents and submit collated information/intelligence gained.
