Reduce Anti-Social Behaviour around Asda, Morrisons and Bang Bang Oriental Food Hall, including begging, rough sleeping and street drinking.
Issued 09 June 2026
A joint partnership meeting was held between Brent Council, Morrisons, Bang Bang, Loon Fung, St Mungo's, and Kingsbury Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) to discuss measures required to improve security across the area and to encourage rough sleepers to engage with and accept the supported accommodation that is regularly offered to them.
Discussions focused on both environmental improvements and enforcement opportunities to address ongoing concerns. Options considered included:
Redesigning and strengthening fire doors and associated locking systems.
Securing the car park during night-time hours.
Increasing high-visibility police patrols in the area.
Deploying CCTV vans to support deterrence and evidence gathering.
Partners also discussed the importance of maintaining engagement with rough sleepers to ensure they are aware of, and supported in accessing, the accommodation and support services available through St Mungo's and Brent Council.
Further updates will follow as actions are progressed and agreed by all partners
