Violence
The Mapesbury and Cricklewood Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) has continued to deliver high-visibility patrols on foot and in police vehicles across key locations including Cricklewood Broadway and Chichele Road, which remain areas vulnerable to street-based violence.
Over the past three months, levels of violence across the ward have remained relatively low. Officers have carried out targeted patrols in response to community concerns, intelligence submissions and emerging crime trends. A number of individuals have been stopped and searched where grounds existed, disrupting suspected criminal activity and providing a visible deterrent to offending.
The SNT continues to target repeat offenders linked to violent incidents through intelligence-led patrols, enforcement activity and partnership working. Maintaining a visible police presence remains a priority to deter crime and provide reassurance to local residents and businesses.

Over the next three months, the team will:
• Target known offenders through intelligence-led policing.
• Increase uniformed and plain-clothes patrols in hotspot locations.
• Conduct stop and search activity where lawful and proportionate.
• Continue proactive engagement and disruption activity.
• Work with partner agencies to address the causes of violence and vulnerability.

Anti-Social Behaviour and Drug Activity
Anti-social behaviour (ASB) and drug-related activity remain ongoing concerns within the ward. Key locations include:
• Chichele Road
• Anson Road
• Dartmouth Road, Teignmouth Road and Dawlish Road
• Residential streets off Anson Road adjacent to Gladstone Park
The SNT has maintained regular patrols across these locations using both overt and covert tactics to disrupt criminal behaviour. Officers have conducted several intelligence-led operations, resulting in numerous stop and searches of individuals suspected of involvement in drug-related activity. These interventions have disrupted offending, deterred criminality and generated valuable intelligence.
During the reporting period, officers executed a drugs warrant at a business premises within the ward. As a result, the shop owner was arrested for drug-related offences and a three-month Closure Order was subsequently obtained and enforced on the premises. This action has significantly disrupted criminality linked to the location and addressed ongoing concerns raised by local residents and businesses.
Costa Coffee on Cricklewood Broadway remains a location of concern and continues to be monitored through regular patrols and problem-solving activity. The location also forms part of wider work supporting Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) priorities.
The team continues to work closely with Brent Council, St Mungo's and VIA to tackle ASB, support vulnerable individuals and address substance misuse within the community.
