Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team
Your Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) is a group of Met police officers dedicated to serving your community. The team is made up of officers based in your area (or 'ward'), supported by additional officers from the wider area.
We work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on reducing crime across London.

General violence on the streets of Thamesmead. London wide priority.
Action taken:
Regular patrols of the tower blocks and surrounds. Stop and search powers excercised, weapons seized and arrests made with offenders being out before the courts.

Drug dealing and use around The Thamesmead East Estate, tower blocks.. ASB in and around Yarnton Way, and the surrounding streets.
Action taken:
Two cannabis factories have been closed and plants seized. Enquiries on-going.
Several warrants have been conducted on the ward since the beginning of the year. Several arrests made and quantities of drugs seized. -
Priority:
Theft of/from Motor vehicles including tow aways and cat convertor thefts.
Action taken:
The team have identifed several suspects and arrests have been made. Articles used to steal have been seized after warrants were conducted. Enquiries are still on-going.
