Heath Ward’s drugs ASB in the three towers (Laburnum House, Peverel House, Hawkwell House).

The Team have proposed to conduct frequent patrols, targeting individuals’ intent on committing offences such as anti-social behaviour and drug use in communal areas. On identifying offenders, officers will work with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham around implementation of other tactics including Community Protection Warnings and for those most persistent applying for Criminal Behaviour Orders or issuing Community Protection Notices.
Ongoing ASB drugs issues occurring in the high rises has been identified as a complex long term ongoing issue that would require a multi-agency problem solving approach. High visibility foot patrols and community engagement/awareness help reduce ASB but greater working with Barking and Dagenham authority is required to resolve this issue.

VAWG patrols, Oxlow Lane, Wood lane and other Heath hotspots

Working in partnership with local authority and community to reduce, prevent, detect and deter incidents and impact of VAWG on women and girls . Team will be conducting a range of deployments and activities, including engagements and events to reduce and prevent incidents linked to VAWG. An intelligence led and problem solving approach to those committing offences will see continued partnership and joint working with local authority and key agencies, and third sector to design out and target high harm offenders including use of technology linked to Live Facial Recognition pre planned operations . A mixture of enforcement and engagement work will continue, seeing further referrals into Community MARAC multi agency pathway, and to utilize other tactics linked to Community Protection and Criminal Behaviour Orders as and where able.

Speeding and Anti-Social Driving on Naseby Rd, Bosworth Rd, Frizlands Rd and Rusholme Avenue.

At the recent ward panel meeting, residents raised concerns surrounding speeding at the junction of Frizlands Rd and Rusholme Avenue and anti-social driving occurring on Naseby and Bosworth Rd.
The Team are working to reduce anti-social driving using Community Protection Warnings and Section 59 ASB warnings through the deterrence of car seizure for improper use. This will target drivers who’s driving, and actions are causing harassment, alarm and distress to the local residents.
The Team also have plans to run a Community Speed Watch to educate drivers and encourage reduced speed throughout the ward. This will target drivers who’s speed endangers the local residents and children entering and exiting William Bellamy Primary School.
