You can ask for information from the Criminal Records Office (ACRO) or a local police force, depending on what information you want.

Identification
We'll ask you to upload pictures of two documents that prove your:
- identity (who you are)
- current address
This is to make sure we only share information with the right person.

What happens next
We have one month to respond to your request (or three months in complex cases).
Please note: we take our statutory obligations on the time it takes to respond to requests very seriously, however due to an increase in applications we are working through a backlog and there may be delays to the time it takes to process and complete a request.

- or, if we think your right to see your data does not apply, we'll explain why.
