Our Workforce Planning and Deployment team plays a crucial role in the service we give to London. Our objective is to ensure we're well resourced and equipped to meet our operational needs.
The team is essential for aligning the workforce strategy and driving the delivery of resources to manage our in-year deployment plan and long term resource plans. The team balances the supply of workforce resources for all our employees (around 11,000 staff and 35,000 officers) into more than 70 business units and operational units. This is in line with corporate priorities.
The team is structured to ensure a proactive, customer-centric service. It works closely with all other team members across Workforce Planning to bring valuable insights to the management teams across the many departments we advise.
The Operational Deployment team is responsible for allocating resources to meet the demands of policing operations in the current year.
