The Met and the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime have published the Estate Strategy 2025–2035, setting out how we will manage and develop our buildings over the next decade to support policing across London.
Our estate is critical to policing London. It provides bases for response teams, custody suites, spaces for victims, and specialist facilities for training and investigations. However, half of our buildings fall below acceptable standards and we face significant financial constraints.
The strategy explains the tough choices we face, our vision for a safe and efficient estate, and the steps we will take to keep our buildings compliant, modernise where possible, and bring officers closer to the communities they serve.
