On Monday, 10 April at 2.00pm, a full force funeral will be held at Southwark Cathedral to honour, remember and mourn PC Keith Palmer, who was killed on March 22, in the Westminster terrorist attack.
PC Palmer was a south Londoner who had spent most of his policing career serving this part of London.
Hundreds of people will gather to remember a much missed police officer; a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and best friend.
Metropolitan Police Service officers, who served alongside PC Palmer in his career stretching back over 15 years, will be joined by officers from across the service, along with colleagues from forces across the country, all of whom will come together to honour their fallen colleague.
The funeral cortege, flanked by a police “Black Escort” will travel from the Palace of Westminster down Millbank. Once over Lambeth Bridge, the cortege will head East down Lambeth Palace Road, towards Stamford Street, Borough High Street and onto Cathedral Place, before stopping outside the Cathedral garden entrance.
The route the funeral cortege will take:
