Officer concerned: PC Meerub Asher
Dates of hearing: 2 September 2026
The brief circumstances of this case are that PC Meerub Asher on 12 September 2025 was convicted of an offence contrary to section 117 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, relating to the misuse of a Blue Badge. In doing so, it is alleged that PC Asher has breached the standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of:
- Discreditable conduct
PC Asher was in attendance for these proceedings. She was represented by her federation representative.
The Chair, Former Commander Katie Lilburn, found the allegations proven and that PC Asher had breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour at the level of Gross Misconduct.
PC Asher was dismissed without notice and will be placed on the College of Policing Barred List.
