Officer concerned: A/PS Rachel Bright
Date of hearing: 1 to 4 September 2026
A/PS Bright answered allegations that, whilst of-duty on 5 December 2022, she went on a night out together with other police officers. On several occasions during the evening, she paid attention to a female colleague in a manner that was inappropriate, including attempting to kiss her and deliberately touching her in an inappropriate manner.
The Panel, chaired by T/Commander Brigid Beehag-Fisher, determined that 4 of the 5 allegations were proven at the level of Gross Misconduct and that the Standards of Professional Behaviour had been breached, namely in respect of 'Discreditable Conduct'.
A/PS Bright was dismissed without notice and placed on the College of Policing Barred List.
