Officer concerned: PS Nicholas Bolton
Dates of hearing: 14 May 2026
PS Nicholas Bolton has been found in possession of sexually explicit images of a female on a Metropolitan Police Service-issued mobile phone, for which there was no policing purpose.
It was alleged that PS Bolton fell below the Standards of Professional Behaviour in relation to Discreditable Conduct and Orders & Instructions.
The Chair, Commander Andy Brittain concluded that taking in to consideration all the circumstances, found the allegation proven and that PS Bolton's actions amounted to Gross Misconduct.
As a result, the Chair determined that the only suitable outcome is that PS Bolton was dismissed without notice and placed on the Poling public barred list.
