Officer concerned: PC Tamin Wafa
Dates of hearing: 21 to 22 April 2026
PC Tamin Wafa, based at MO8, faced allegations that his behaviour amounted to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour in relation to 'Discreditable Conduct'.
The particulars of the allegations against PC Wafa include unlawfully assaulting Female A on two occasions and thereby causing her injury.
The AA was unable to secure the attendance of Female A for the hearing. The AA sought to adduce her evidence in her absence and submitted an application.
The defence submitted a rebuttal application to prevent her evidence being adduced. The panel carefully considered both applications and the seriousness of the allegations.
The panel decided to exclude Female A evidence in the absence of her attendance.
In light of the panel decision to exclude the evidence of Female A counsel for the AA advised the panel that the AA were no longer pursuing the allegations against PC Wafa. The allegations against PC Wafa were therefore dismissed by the panel.
