Summary

The brief circumstances are that PC Arnold has been convicted for eight counts on 16 April 2026 at Guildford Crown Court as follows:

i. In relation to Person A: one count of assault by penetration and one count of sexual assault.
ii. In relation to Person B: one count of rape.
iii. In relation to Person C: two counts of rape, one count of assault by penetration and one count of sexual assault.
iv. In relation to Person D: one count of rape.

The sentencing hearing is scheduled to take place on 22 June 2026 at Guildford Crown Court.

PC Arnold was not in attendance for these proceedings. PC Arnold was not represented at the hearing, however was provided the opportunity.

Decision

The Chair, Commander Jason Prins, found the allegations proven on the balance of probabilities. Furthermore, the Chair found that PC Arnold had breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of Discreditable Conduct and that these breaches amounted to Gross Misconduct.

PC Dion Arnold was dismissed without notice and will be placed on the college of policing barred list.
