Summary

Allegation 1 : It was alleged that whilst in a relationship with Miss A, Former PC Daniel Smith was controlling and coercive.

Allegation 2: It was alleged that after the breakdown of the relationship PC Smith made threats of suicide .

Allegation 3: It was alleged that PC Smith also broke bail conditions.

It was further alleged that in doing so FPC Smith breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of 'Discreditable Conduct'.

Decision

The panel, chaired by Commander Jason Prins found the 3 allegations of Discreditable Conduct proven.

Had FPC Smith been a serving officer he would have been dismissed without notice.

FPC Daniel Smith will be placed on the barred list accordingly.
