Officer concerned: Special Constable A
Dates of hearing: 4 June 2026
The brief circumstances are that Special Constable A's MPS-issued mobile device was found to contain several text messages of a sexual nature, including the sharing of an image of male genitalia to a female recipient. These images were identified on 27 November 2025 during routine and lawful business monitoring.
Special Constable A admitted to sending the messages in question and states that they were exchanged during a brief personal relationship with a woman he met via an online dating platform.
The allegations against Special Constable A suggest a clear breach of the following standards of behaviour:
Discreditable conduct
Orders & Instructions
Special Constable A was not in attendance for these proceedings. He was not represented at the hearing however he had been given this opportunity.
The Chair Commander Trevers, found all allegations proven on the balance of probabilities, except that Special Constable A's conduct breached the 'Smartphone - Conditions of Use Policy'. Special Constable A had breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour at the level of Gross Misconduct.
Special Constable A was dismissed without notice and will be placed on the College of Policing barred list.
