Police Sergeant Matthew Jones, based at within the Crime Recording Investigation Bureau, answered allegations that his conduct amounted to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour, in respect of:
• Discreditable Conduct
• Authority, Respect and Courtesy
It was alleged that PS Jones made inappropriate sexual and misogynistic comments and exhibited inappropriate behaviour concerning female colleagues in the workplace.
It was alleged that his conduct, if proven, would amount to gross misconduct and was so serious as to justify dismissal.
The identity of victims/witnesses were protected during the hearing as appropriate.
The panel found that the allegations were not proven
